From 2011 to 2013, China's annual export volume of aluminum materials is about 3 million tons. The quality of products such as high-precision plate with foil, large-scale industrial profile, can aluminum and other high-end aluminum alloy materials has been continuously improved, which not only meets the domestic development needs, but also realizes batch export.

However, there is still a gap between China's aluminum industry and the international advanced level, some high-quality aluminum materials are still lacking, and some core key technologies need to be broken through, especially at present, China's aluminum industry still faces many challenges, such as overcapacity, insufficient application, operating difficulties, etc. In terms of application level, there is still a big gap from the development goal. If the application of aluminum in transportation and construction reaches the level of developed countries, the domestic application space can be expanded by 20 million tons.

It is reported that in recent years, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association has been committed to expanding the application of aluminum, and has made positive progress in replacing steel with aluminum for means of transportation, saving copper with aluminum for wires and cables, and saving wood with aluminum for building formwork. Although the development of China's aluminum industry faces many challenges, the fundamentals of development are generally good, and China's aluminum consumption market is huge.
